          and good luck to two of my good friends who will take GRE test on coming Tuesday!
          我像今天我会看完PB2的,继续体会the universal truth that ladies always fall for bad men.

    missing ...

           I called my English Pal in Davis today and chatted for an hour. She is really a nice girl, an ABC who helped me practise my oral when I was there. She told me she was very sad three weeks ago when she saw her Spanish friend off in the airport because it was the 2nd time for her to farewell with a friend within the same month, who she doesn`t know when she will be able to see in the future. 1st time is me, she drove me to the airport when I left.
        I totally understood her feeling, that is why I changed the title of my space to "completion of my rootless life for the time being". I have changed locations so frequently in the passed three years. I am sick of moving around and saying goodbye to friends and adjusting myself to a completely new environment within short period of time. I want to stay, wherever it is, for longer time now.
        Steph asked me what I miss the most in Davis, I answered, the people I met there. For sure, Davis is such a small town, a farmland, in the middle of nowhere with very poor cell reception, although it`s quitet, peaceful with brisk air and lovely stars, they cannot explain fully why you miss it so much, the key is the connection with people you have met there.
        I am looking forward to the start of our new semester. At the end of my internship, I will have worked for 4 months already, including the one in DC. I know the feeling, even though you have a very disciplined routine schedule, you feel hollow after work. I spent my weekend watching PB Season 2, being dragged by the suspenseful plot and feeling exhausted after that and guilty for doing nothing meaningful.
        btw, recommend the guys who need to make long distance call a plan, from 3 service, HK$48, 1200 minutes to China, US, Canada and Singapore per month. If you are still using prepaid phone card and plan to get registered service, they are promoting this package so you will get half-an-year for free, which means I can make long-distance call to the four countries for 1200 minutes free of charge now, awesome?!

    Look back to my exchange life II: Trip Photos Selection

    精选24张,妈妈说FILM LOOP她看不了,那还是回归到传统的相簿吧. 一年疯一样地旅游, 我想我有生之年都不回再来第二次了.

    1. Arches National Park: Utah State/Arizona State, US. The most impressive National Park among those I have visited, amazed by the power of nature;
    2. Capitol Hill: Washington DC, US. Office for Congress, looks much more stella than the While House;
    3. Death Valley: California State, US. People say Death Valley is really full of vitality in summer, but unfortunately I went there in winter;
    4. Disney Land: LA, California State, US. The part that I enjoyed most in the theme park was the artificial snow at night specially made for Christmas;
    5. Grand Canyon National Park: Arizona Sate, US. Supposed to be very vigorous landscape, but since it snowed heavily when I was there, unavailable to see it clearly, special for me, though, 1st time to see snow since I was born!!!
    6. Las Vegas: Nevada State, US. City of Sin, makes me dizzy and feel everything is unreal. The view is inside a casino, the mimic scenery of Venice in Europe;
    7. Lake Tahoe: California State, US. A place for ski/snow board lovers, fabulous scenery!
    8. Monterey Bay: California State, US. An ordinary bay, but I got a nice shot of the sea lion, haha!
    9. Napa Valley: California State, US. Winery place, its production takes up 90% of the wine market worldwide.
    10. Redwoods National Park: California State, US. There are tallest trees in the world, joined as part of an international student group hiking there, unforgettable experience;
    11. Salt Lake City: Utah State, US. The view is outside of car window, surrounded by mountains, super fresh air, I love this city!
    12. San Francisco: California State, US. Favorite city in the US, shocked by the slope of the road!
    13. Santa Barbara: California State, US. A city of palm trees!
    14. Seaworld Park: San Diego, California State, US. Kind of like Ocean Park in Hong Kong, very funny animal performance.
    15. Seattle: Washington State, US. A bird view from Space Needle, the signature architecture of the city;
    16. Statue of Liberty: New York State, US. I don`t really like New York, but maybe I didn`t stay long enough to dig its beauty
    17. Temple Square in Salt Lake City: Utah State, US. Visited the city in time of Thanksgiving, very pretty night views with tons of neon lights.
    18. Washington Monument: Washington DC, US. Signature architecture in DC, it`s a pity that I didn`t get chance to go to the top.
    19. World War II Memorial: Washington DC, US. The most beautiful Memorial in DC in my eyes;
    20. Yosemite National Park: California State, US. The most famous National Park along the west coast, must-to-visit spot;
    21. Vancouver: west coast, Canada. Taken in downtown Vancouver, seen the mountain in the distance with snow on top?
    22. Victoria: west coast, Canada. Taken in Butchart Garden, the most well-known place of interest in the city;
    23. Ottawa: east coast, capital of Canada. Parliament Building;
    24. Quebec: east coast, Canada. Exotic, relaxed, delicate;

    Life is full of uncertainty!

           Within just one month, two pieces of news, both are shining proof of the quote "Uncertainty is the only that is certain in the future."
           Once believed in that "If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail".
           Maybe not true, why bother to plan for all the things if they can never catch up with the unexpected changes in your front?
           Luckily, one negative, the other positive!!! Cheers!

    Look back to my exchange life - I. video gift from Soyeon

    It has been 15 days since I left Davis. My exchange year in UCD is just like a beautiful dream lasting for 9 months. No matter how amazing it is, I still woke up the moment I got out of HKIA. However the people I have met, the places I have visited, the stories that have happened, will be all deeply cherished in my heart for ever!

    I tried not to write anything about this passed year since I came back because I know once the door of memory opens, every single detail will show up, zoom in automatically, block my mind and make me feel like going back, which is impossible. Time is irreversible. Until today Christie, who also went to UCD for exchange and just came back to HK, passed me a gift from Soyeon, a Korean girl who was our housemate in Davis, I cannot control myself anymore. It’s a video recording the highlights of our house, called Pacifico. My eyes were filled with tears when I watched the video. Three times, every one’s smile is so familiar; every scene seems to just happen yesterday. Nevertheless, we are spreading out every where now. Christie told me her mother didn`t understand why she cried so hard when watching the video. I know. Nobody except us, who have lived a wonderful life there, can understand our friendship behind this very touching video.

    Pacifico is a co-operative housing, every floor is mixed. We all lived in Kyoto house and we had meal plan, residents take turns to cook for others. Some of us are really close, just like family. The house is full of love; many romantic stories go on every year. I, strictly speaking, only stayed in the house for around 100 days, but it’s one of the most unforgettable parts in my exchange year.

    Enjoy the video I uploaded in Video, although you might don’t understand my sophisticated feelings when watching it…..
